PKing Guide
Introduction...
I'm still working on the Pking guide.

This is the Ultimate Pking guide for runescape in the world!!!(that's what i think) and i'm not just saying that!! It actually is! My new pking acc, Xanti Zezima (which was made to kill Zezima), is being used alot by me for pking... I now realize, what i started playing the game for, the only thing that's "good"   and requires skill in rs, is pking...

Anyway, I am now making a guide for myself, and i figured, "hey if i'm making one to better myself, why not make one to better everyone else too? (and to get more hits on my site lol)...And this will be a good guide! Just look at all the work i put into everything else...Oh and the guide is still evolving, every new thing i learn will beused ion the guide to help. I'll even except tips from you in the guest book. well, here it is:
RuneScape Ultimate Pking Guide
And i'm not just saying that! It is "ultimate"! check it out...

Introduction

This is a great guide (the best i've ever seen) about pking in RuneScape. I have a pking account called Xanti Zezima. (yes i hate Zezima and made it to kill him/her (in game ofcourse lol) one day, I'll tell you why i hate him/her and about my account at the end of the guide).I've experienced pros, and cons about pking. Over all, it is a good reason to play runescape (even though everything else sucks lol). Some people say it's the only fun part of the game. I think so.Well, unless your a member maybe lol. Anyway, the guide is still ready for update when ever needed and People can submit new ideas to help the guide by signing the guest book at http://easyrunescapemoney.piczo.com/?cr=2&rfm=y or just type in easyrunescapemoney.piczo.com. I actually intended on making the guide for myself, to benefit and help me become a better pker...but then i decided to spread it world wide to get hits on my site lol. But it actually is a really great guide and will work. I don't do all this work in my projects for nothing you know!! haha...and, i get bored.lol. Well, have fun:

Chapter One:Pking In General
Now this is just for noobs who don't even know what this is. If you actually know about runescape and pking, you may want to skip this chapter and move onto the next one: "Chapter Two:Basic Pking Skills. Pking,(player killing), is a very fun part of RuneScape, and other multiplayer game. Personally, i hate RuneScape, lot's of other people think so too. But they also think that the best part of the game is pking. To pk, you must be in the wilderness. And you don't have to worry about getting owned by high level players, thanks to the very helpful wilderness level system. The wilderness level system will be discussed in the next chapter.

Chapter Two:Basic Pking Skills
Well, First you'll have to know the pking system in RuneScape.Pking is alot more complicated in members world. This guide is for f2p (free to play) players. It can be complicated in f2p worlds too, depending on how you play. This guide is basic pking, and complicated which i prefer and is more effective. The wilderness is located up north of the land. Just keep heading north, and eventually you'll come upon a "wilderness ditch". Read the warning if it's your first time. Cities based on the wilderness are mainly Edgville, and Varrock. Varrock is to big a city to be based on one thing, but sometimes at east bank, you'll see alot of skulled people.(With skulls floating over their head), this is because they have just come from the wilderness and need to use the bank for some reason. There is also a church with a praying alter at northern Varrock and a bit farther then that is the wilderness ditch. Your likely to see other people there killing eachother. When you die in the wilderness, or anywhere, you lose all your items except your 3 most valuable ones. Note that you don't lose items in your bank. When you attack a player, you get a skull over your head. You are now "skulled". This means that when you die, you lose all your items that are out of your bank and you don't keep your 3 best ones anymore. Also when you die, you drop your items where you were standing. So the player that killed you can take it. After a certain amount of time (around a minute) the items become visable to other players to take. When you die all your stats replenish. This includes your hp,energy, prayer, and skills if they were somehow weakend. Oh and the skull disappears if you have one. The wilderness level system is greatly admired. Jagex (the creators and owners of RuneScape) made this very good system. Here's how it works:
When In the wilderness (past the ditch) the first two steps north are safe. But after that, you reach the point where you can attack players, and players can attack you. The wilderness level is the maximum level difference required to attack players. So in level 1 wilderness, you can attack player 1 level above, or below you. Oh and when i say "level", i mean combat level. Anyway, in level 2 wilderness, you can attack players 2 levels higher and lower than you. And so on so on... The deeper the wilderness level, the harder it is to survive, but the rewards are greater. Rewards include xp, items, etc. that you can find in the wilderness. The Combat related skills are: attack, defence, strength, prayer, magic, and range. Prayer is allowed to be used by all players as an extra.

Chapter 3:Combat skills and classes
There are 3 classes, 1 extra class, and 7 skills related to combat. The first class, and the most common class that people start off with is melee. Melee is usually for warriors that wear full armore sets and weapon. They usually train attack, strength, and defence. Note that you gain hp automatically while in combat of any type. The second, and more favorited class for pking is magic. Magic is my personal favorite, as it actually requires skill as just sitting there watching your guy fight and eating food. Mages can cast a whole bunch of helpful spells and can do massive damage at low combat levels. Especially while your magic is only able to cast fire strike or lower. As it is the best mage spell for the combat level. The max damage for strike spells goes up by 2. As where the higher levels' max hit only goes up by 1. Unfortunately, it's not worth trying to stay at the strike spells, since there aren't alot of pkers around that combat level and even if you find one, they'll have bad drops.pure mages have the highest max hit for their combat level, how ever, it is the most expensive skill to level up. As the runes cost massive amounts of money, it is usually used by the more richer players. Which by using my site should be no problem to become. Mages level up the magic skill. The last skill is ranging. Also known as the "weak" skill. As it wasn't to helpful at first. But then jagex made some smart changes (mainly to members only) and now people recomend it more than melee for pking. The arrows may seem as much as a rip off as runes for mages, but acutally, the arrows are actually worth it. Luckily, your able to pick up the arrows after you use them and re use them again. However, sometimes they break and you aren't able to pick them up.Now, if you do the math, using the best arrows you can isn't always the best option. For sometimes it does the exact same amount of damage as less expensive arrows. For a ranging damage table, visit http://tip.it/runescape/?page=ranged_guide.htm and scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page. The 3rd last section has a link to a very helpful table which i use. Also, DO NOT BUY ADDEMENT ARROWS!!! even if they hit more than mith, they only hit 1 more and they cost over 4 times as much. Stick with mithril, and check the table and if steel hits the same as mithril currently, then use steel. Remember: Arrows predict damage while bows predict accuracy. The 3 arrows you should keep for being a high lv pure ranger is steel, mith, and addy. But only buy addy arrows for a good price. And bring very little amounts with you during pk trips.(like 10). And use them for your f2p special attack (described later). Now the most important thing to know about 1 on 1 battles is the combat triangle. It is very helpful yet so many people don't know it. Here's how it works: melee has advantage over rangers, rangers have an advantage over mages, and mages have an advantage over melee. So in more detailed form (if you don't wear same class armore as weapon) is:
melee weapons have advantage over range leather armore. It can peirce through easily. Same thing with mage armore but mages hit too high and you'll be too busy eating to attack lol. If a melee is fighting a range, just keep slashing and don't worry about dieing. You don't have to be safe here. Rangers arrows can peirce through mage armore easily, but do little damage to melee armore. Also, your leather armore reflects good against spells. However, if a spell does hit, and hit's high, it's wize to be safe, for mages like I said before have high max hits. And just to remind everyone: Defence doesn't reduce damage inflicted on yourself, but instead it reduces chances the enemy has of landing an attack. So rangers can be safe here, and they wont hit as high, but as long as you and the mage have similar food, you should win by doing more damage in less time. Mages are very tough to beat, yet very tough to use. To use the full force of a mage, you'll have to use skill. That's right, there's actual skill in this game. You'll need quick mouse strokes, accursy when clicking spells not to click the worng one, and you'll also need various runes. Not just the runes needed for your missile spell. If your a begginner, it's alright, and probably best to stay near level 1 wilderness (this goes for everyone). Then when you go deep, bring teleport runes. If you can, Varrok is the best. And don't try to home teleport while in the middle of a fight!!! You'll just take damage and the spell will stop. If you can't teleport, bind an enemy and run away while clicking log out. More tips on surviving will be in the next chapter. Anyway, mages should focus on melee's for they are easy to own. But if they're smart, they'll remove their armore. The melee armore has a negetive resistance against magic, which means they take more damage from magic attacks. Note: magic attacks are missiles, which are strike, bolt, blast, and if your a member, wave spells. Even if they do remove their armore, you'll still have a great chance of winning. Now when fighting a ranger, be careful, your most likely to get owned. Rangers almost always land hit on you, and you rarely land hits on them. But when you do, they'll be suffering alot of damage and will probably start eating food. You can usually take off around 1/3 of their total hp. So after 2 successful high hits, they'll be eating food, and that's when you use your f2p special (described later). Now there is after all, one more class...Most people don't count it as a class, but it is. It's not official, and has different names, but lets just call it, a priest. Priests use only prayers for their combat. Prayer should only be used as a benefit, not something to base a character on!! The boosts aren't too helpful, but good use against weakening spells from mages. Monk/priest robes are good against mage. Who should be your main target. Piests are only good for looters. It can help quite a bit for getting good stuff without no high level attacking you. And when a person does, start praying and running. Hopefully god will save you lol. Also, for a good weapon but even better prayer advantage, use a mace. As for some reason jagex decided to make a huge prayer bonus on those...

Chapter 4:Survival
Now some people, especially looters, (who are people who run around the wilderness looking for scraps of items after a fight that the victor couldn't hold)would rather just go around the wilderness and get rewards without being attacked by players. Here are some tips to survival.
-level up magic and prayer and defence
-cast spells to weaken opponents attacks and strength (only if opponent is melee)
-pray and cast multiple prayers and different times not all at once (protect items at low health, defence advances, hp restore rate, etc.)
-teleport
-run while clicking log out
-bind and run while clicking log out
-DO NOT HOME TELEPORT WHILE IN COMBAT, just a waist
-stay under level 20 wilderness (above you can't teleport)
-bring food (no more than 20,aproxe 10,bring tuna (look at site for easy ways to get)
-set auto retaleraite on off, i know it may sound stupid, but you won't win the fight if it's not your intension, and when you run your guy will keep running backwords and then forwords because of an unfixable glitch.
-While eating, if your hp is low, and you eat food while being hit, you may die anyway. I know it's dumb but the damage might be higher than the amount of hp healed plus the amount of hp left. So bringing lot's of weak food isn't as good as bringing few good food.
-Don't attack other players. That way you won't be skulled and lose all your items.
-Don't try to fight a team. Even a team of two. If they look like they have a chance, don't try too hard. You can try to see how good they are, but if it's more than two, have your teleport spell ready otherwize, you can try two, but be safe.
-Safe is noobish, how ever, it's helpful. It's when a player eats food at only half hp or better. While the recomended way is to wait until you hp is less than half.
-And ofcourse, don't bring items you don't want to risk

Chapter 5:Multi Skilled Players
Another common pking method is combining classes, or using combinations of items from different classes. One that levels up all 3 classes and prayer but no defence is called a hybrid. Which are very good yet hard to use. You'd need to bring all 3 armore (probably not sets just bodies), 1 weapon for each class (maybe more which will be described later), and still need space for food. Hybrids are probably best not to have extra space in their inventory because they can take damage easily at the beggining of battles. Hybrids switch their weapons and armore to best suit their advantage over their enemy (regarding the combat triangle ofcourse).
A very common skill used in multi classed characters is mage. (And prayer but i don't count that as a class). Mage is very helpful for the wide range of spells that can be a bit of help in specefic situations. Any multiclass character with only 2 classes, mage and other, should wear mage armore. This can be monk, preist, or wizard. They all do fine but look at their stats anyway to best suite your needs. Mage armore is very helpful and doesn't have major disadvantages when wearing. This is probably the best armore to wear for multi skilled pkers. Also, mages hit very high, so your best bet is to keep your max hit even for both classes. This is usually maintainable with a non-mage class higher than your mage skill.
Range and mage is used by the pros. Try looking it up on youtube and you'll also learn how to better your pking skills. There is alot of ways to use range and mage. It is my personal favorite combo as only 1 other combination has an advantage over you. As you can tell, you'll do better without close combat. It is hard to stay away from an enemy that has melee, so try to do it behind an obstical (chance they can run away easily), or cast bind on them. Now don't use bind on a mage or ranger enemy because they can attack from a distance. You can however, use bind while running away from a fight. There are many specials with this combonation. And if you really want to succeed, you can do this, but it will require more skill:
Tips on magic rangers: Use a long bow at first to attack from a distance and do damage while they're comming in. Then when they get close, start using your short bow. And set it on rapid fire. For some reason, When they walk/run forwords to attack you, you do damage even faster than normally a short bow would. Now use your class with the second best max hit and get him/her weak. If he/her are safe, just keep saying that and making fun of them lol. Or if you want, when he/she eats food, cast weakening spells. Also keep firing as fast as you can. Even if you do little damage, they get nervous and eat food anyway (trust me, i used to be like that lol). So once they start running, then you know they're low on food. Now you do the following (after weakening a safer or getting hp low (under 50%) on a normal pker): Keep using your same attack and cast bind to hold him/her (if you have it). If you don't have bind than start using your skill with the highest attack. Also activate all your best prayers to give you and offensive advantage (don't worry about defence). So if your using mage, activate magic boost prayers. Or range activate accuraccy boost prayer. Then once the battle is over, don't forget to turn it off. Right when he/she seems he'll/she'll be dead in one hit. Use your best method that has accuraccy rather than high hit. Or you can use your best f2p special.
Magic melees is also good. You have a powerful close range and powerful far range. Your best to keep your defence low, attack enough to weild good weapons (depending on your level), and strength the highest. Attack predicts accuracy by the way. Make sure your max hit is higher with close range. This will be way more effective. Try either to cast bind while shooting away with mage, or let him/her get close while your casting weakening spells. Then start attacking away with your primary weapon. Once their hp is low, use a special, or just pull out your strongest weapon with the highest hit and activate helpful prayers. Then just finish him/her off with a high or even max hit.
Ranged meelee is quite a bad combination. As melee armore weakens range. However, the best way to use this is to base yourself on high damage. raise range and strength really high. (And attack level high enough to weild a good weapon). Prayer isn't recomended for this combo. While the enemy is at a distance, fire away with longbow, then when in closer range, use short bow, then when they get adjacent to you, start using melee. Use primary weapon, then like i stated before, use your high hit weapon or special when their hp is low. Your best bet is to try to do as much damage as possible. And don't be safe. As eating will just waist time which you can use to deal massive damage.
Other tips:
-Short bows are faster than long bows
-Don't wear armore that heavily decreases your primary weapon stats
-Use low hits at first (but probably fast ones too) so that the enemy thinks that's all you can hit
-Use your best attacking method (or special) when their hp is low and they least expect it
-Bring multiple types of weapons and armore per trip

Chapter 6:Items
There is a huge range of items that help alot for pking. And even more for members. Here's just a quick guide on different items good for pking in f2p worlds:
Well, as you probably already know, the different metals in the game have different stats. In order from weakest to strongest, here's a list of them: bronze, iron, steel, mithril, addament, and rune. The higher the metal, the heavier it weighs. Now lets start with melee weapons. The best melee weapon to take note of are: scimitars, battle axes, and 2 handers. Scimitars are fast and hit normal. Battle axes are slow but hit high. And 2 handers are slowest but hit highest. Also with a 2 hander, you can't wear a sheild. Daggers are helpful too in members because you can poisen enemies. Which can be very very helpful. Now your primary weapon should either be a scimmy(scimitar), or a b axe(battle axe). A 2h (2 handed) can be a primary, but it will be better to use it as a finishing weapon and keep it in your inventory. If you bring a 2h as a finisher, i recomend a scimmy not a b axe. or you can bring all 3, use a b axe at first, then when hp is below 50%, use a scimmy until about 25%, and then finish him/her off with the 2h.
Now for ranged weapons. As I stated before, shortbows are faster then longbows, and recomended for close range. But when the enemy is fleeing, or too far away, use a long bow. Now arrows are good especially for training because you can pick up the arrows you fire. They will break and you'll notice a shortage of arrows after you pick em up. But it's still worth it. Addament arrows are best for free players, but the cost over 4 times as much as mithril and only does one more point of damage damage. So i recomend not using addament often. Some people say that the better arrows last longer, i've researched that and i beleive it's not true. Although it would be a good idea, i don't think that's the case. Anyway, the best bows for f2p is maple. And if when using arrows, check the damage table i said in chapter 3. Sometimes a cheaper weaker metal arrow, can do just as much damage as the ones you primarly use. Like i said before, Once your range level is enough to weild addement or mithril, it's good to have steel, mithril, and a bit of addement arrows for pking. Also, you can go in the wilderness and loot addement arrows. You usually get them easily after a team finished a battle.
Magic is a very expensive skill. Good thing that the robes are cheap and easy to get. But don't give as much of an adantage to mage as the other equipment does to their own skill. Magic runes are cheap at low level's, but they are alot more expensive once you start buyin chaos (90-150gp ea). Your best bet is to buy runes at the stores. They are cheaper. If you buy them from players, here are the prices: 4 elementals: 10-20, mind: 10-20, chaos: 90-150, death: 200-250, nature: 200-300, laws: 300-600 (note some people buy for 1k ea, but they need only 1 for teleporting at the time). Staves are very helpful. There six staves. Normal sucks. And magic isn't worth it. Buy elemental staves. The elemental staff that you equip gives you unlimited runes of that element. Try it and you'll see. Also, amulet of accuracy isn't just for rangers, it helps magic too. And melee. I personally prefer acc ammy better than magic for Xanti Zezima. since it helps all my skills and magic ammy only helps one.
Now for armore. Do not wear armore that weakens your primary weapon. It's good to bring out multiple armore sets too. Rangers use leather armore by the way. Now you probably want to have at least 15 free space for food when pking. I recomend 20 personally. But the more classes you focus on, the harder it is for you to actually use. But if you master it, You'll be very powerful. I haven't even mastered my pking skills yet. Then again, that's why i started making this guide in the first place lol.
Food is a very important part of pking. The best food for f2p is sword fish which heal 14. Most people use lobsters which heal 12. I use tuna which heals 10. Even though tuna is the worst non-nooby food, it is also very cheap. You can find it quite often at the general store at karamja. Loads of them. like over 300. people sell them there for cheap because they want fishing and cooking xp. You can buy it for 30gp each. And lobsters sometimes for 45gp each. But you can only buy it by the inventory full (27-28 depending on whether you have left over money or not). Always buy your items from stores if you can. You'll be glad you did.

Chapter 6-part 2:Using items
Now here is a complete list of things to help you use your pking items more effectively and other tips.
-If your all based on hitting high, try not to safe
-Hit low as your regualar attack and hit high for your finisher. This will make sure the enemy will fight while having low hp because he/she doesn't think that you can hit high enough to finish them off. So they don't eat.
-To make a good finisher, use prayers, spells, switch items (including armore),drink str pots, etc.
-don't keep prayer on if not needed.
-Have good mouse skills (speed and accuracy)
-Use everything to your advantage for example, lets say an enemy is coming after you. Start praying or casting weakening spells while waiting.
-show no mercy. They may trick you!!
-Teams are very hard to fight alone
-have methods of escaping acknowledged
-carrying more than one weapon/ armore is helpful
-keep the combat triangle in mind as this is very effective
-binding may seem useless in f2p, but using it right wont be. (Check out my 3rd pk vid (coming soon))(came it's available now)
-know your weapon and armore bonuses and weakeness.-This is hard, but it can be very helpful
-keep an eye out for what the opponent is wearing, doing, using, eating, etc.
-Also, a cheap way to win is having this ready to be said and typed in., ask a distracting question. like, "what's your strength level?" I haven't thought much about this, but i know that you can cast spells and such while they're typing without them prepared. I'll say more about that in the future as an update.

Chapter 7:F2p Specials
I know what your thinking, "what the fudge is he talking about?? free players can't use specials!!!". Well you see, they can't. What im about to tell you is not about specials, but about special combonations of things that require skill (speed and accruacy when using the mouse) and act like members' special attacks. Please note that some spells, prayers, items, etc. are written as the lowest effect possible. You may use (probably should use) the higher versions of it. For example, when it says to activate the prayer "mystic will", you should probably use mystic lore or mystic might if you can. And for weapons, you chose the metal type. There is no reason not to use better metal weapons listed below (unless you don't want to risk dieing with it,etc.). It doesn't effect the special in any bad way.

Magic Blast:
Requirements: skills: pray lv9, magic lv 19 /items: Best mage stuff equiped possible
When:Enemy has below 25% or 50% hp
How:1)activate prayer mystic will /2)Switch to mage set and cast curse /3)cast best missile spell and keep casting
Tips:Missile spells are the ones that do damage. Such as strike, bolt, blast, and wave./The spell itself will probably be enough damage so there isn't any need for damage bonus, but accuracy can help alot. Like equiping an accuracy amulet.

Mighty Strike:
Requirements:Skills:High str, prayer lv 7, high atk (optional),mage lv 19 (optional) /items: accuracy amulet or strength amulet, 2h sword
When:Enemy has low hp (lowest you can get it). Maybe 20% before he/she eats food.
How:1)cast curse (optional) /2)wear ammy and armore to support 2h /3)Activate prayers burst of strength and clarity of thought /4) Attack
Tips: If they heal back to normal, switch back to your default attack style and try the special again after.

Ranging Fury:
Requirements:Skills: High range, prayer lv 8, magic lv 19 or 20 (optional) /Items:Shortbow, full leather armore, amulet of accuracy, best arrows equipable.
When: Enemy hp at 50% or less
How:1)Put on the equipement required (above) and set attack type on rapid /2) If enemy is melee (or running away), cast bind and/or curse to weaken them (optional) /3)Activate prayer sharp eye
Tips: Beat them using speed instead of power. If the enemy is melee, it may not work, but if you think the reward is worth it, keep casting bind and firing from a distance.

I have more but i'm going to put those ones up later.
For A better version of the guide, give me your email address at the guestbook and tell me you want me to send you a better version of the guide. I'm going to use my crappy account so nobody knows my real email.
